MAHEC seeks to hire a full time, benefited Web and Database Programmer who will be responsible for designing, developing, programming, and maintaining database and web applications in support of organizational functions.  Specific responsibilities include the design and development of interfaces to custom database applications and commercial packages; utilization of database platforms and report writing applications to create custom reports and queries; development of back-end web pages that interface with MAHEC's public website; development and maintenance of non-MAHEC web sites which are under MAHEC contract; development and maintenance of the MAHEC intranet site and all directories associated with it including user authentication for employee only access; implementation of e-commerce functions for the organization (ie, online credit card payments).

Strong knowledge of and experience with SQL, ASP, and PHP required; knowledge of Open Data Base Connectivity (ODBC) functions required; experience using current programming languages and cascading style sheets required; experience with dynamic content management systems (Expression Engine, Drupal,etc.) preferred. Candidates should have a four year degree in Computer Science/Computer Programming or related field and two years' experience; or comparable combined experience and/or education with formal advanced study in computer programming and database languages and/or applications. Applicants should have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and experience providing technical support to both technical and non-technical end users.
